Recurring expenses

Create a repeating expense

If you have recurring payments, like monthly rent or subscriptions, Gem can automatically create these expenses for you. You can set their schedule to daily, weekly, monthly, annual (and more!).

  1. When creating an expense, enter the amount and category
  2. Tap Show more > repeat this
  3. Choose when this expense should repeat
Tip

Gem creates repeating expenses whenever you open the app. You can force it by switching months in History screen

Edit or stop repeating expenses

You can stop an expense from repeating.

  1. Go to Settings > Repeating payments
  2. Under Recently paid, tap the expense
  3. Tap Edit > repeat this
  4. Choose Never and save
