The Summary view is where all your budgets and wallets come together. You can reorder and customize what you see to make sure your most important budgets are always in view.
Pin budgets
Go to Summary
Tap the Edit button next to the Expenses title
Touch and hold the budget you want to move, then drag it to a new location

Create and edit wallets
Wallets help you organize your expenses into groups, so you can check their balance and total expenses.
Create a wallet
Go to Summary
Under "Wallets", tap Edit
Tap Add and choose New wallet
Give it a name
Tap Add
If it's your first wallet, confirm if you want to add all current expenses to it

Edit wallets

Tap Edit on the top-right to change these details:
Name & appearance: Below the wallet name, tap "Edit" again
Period: Select a duration to view the wallet's balance
Filter accounts: Enable it and choose specific wallets to include in the balance calculation

Tip
Wallets offer many ways to organize expenses.
Purpose: Mandatory expenses like bills, ongoing expenses like food
Payment method: Credit card, cash, bank account
Accounts: Credit card, cash, bank account
You can rename "Wallets" to "Accounts" or anything else: Go to Settings>Wallets> Tap the button on the top-right > Tap Manage, then Wallets and edit the name
Create and edit budgets
Budgets help you track spending in different categories, like food, travel, or entertainment. You can create as many budgets as you need and assign expenses to them to see where your money goes.

Under "Wallets", tap Edit
Tap Add and choose New wallet
Give it a name

Edit budgets
If your spending habits change, you can easily edit your budgets to adjust amounts, rename categories, or set new timeframes.

Create a savings wallet
Create savings wallets to separate money you don’t want to spend from your day-to-day expenses.
Go to Summary
Under "Wallets", tap Edit
Tap Add and choose New wallet
Give it a name
Tap Add
If it's your first wallet, confirm if you want to add all current expenses to it
Show rounded amounts
You can choose to view an estimation of your totals, instead of the actual amount. So $99 will appear as $100, and $1,486 as $1,500, and so on.
Go to Settings >Summary

Calculation
Budgets automatically calculate how much you’ve spent, how much is left, and whether you’re going over. This helps you stay on top of your spending in real time.
Gem can include your income and/or transfers when calculating your expenses.
For example, when you spend $50 and receive $30, your total spent will be $20.
Go to Summary
Tap the button on the top-right corner
Tap More options
Under Budget calculation, enable Include income and/or Include transfers
View options
You can customize your Summary appearance.
Change to card view
Go to Summary
Tap the button on the top-right corner
Under View options, choose Cards or List
Show budgets & wallets in the same list
Go to Summary
Tap the button on the top-right corner
Under Group by, choose None
Tip
You can also customize your Summary widget showing at the bottom of your Journal. Tap any card inside it, then tap Edit and slide to choose your style: Hide budget, show category breakdown and more.
Budgets for categories
In Summary, editing the budget size of categories (or wallets) is applied to all budgets of that category, regardless of their period.
This also applies to editing of savings goals, and any other item in Summary
